We serve Middlesex, Ocean, Monmouth and Somerset counties, and in some cases we work outside our designated service area. From simple repairs, to complex piping systems, we are your full service commercial specialists. Company ProfileLicensed as a New Jersey Master Plumber in 1988, Thomas F Walsh entered the industry 10 years prior as an apprentice. After qualification as a journeyman plumber, he received his New Jersey State Master Plumbers license from the New Jersey State Board of Examiners of Master Plumbers in March 1988 and began Walsh's Plumbing & Mechanical, a New Jersey Corporation. Since 1988 Thomas has also been awarded technical licensure as an ICS level Plumbing Inspector (industrial/commercial specialist) in 1991 and HHS level Plumbing Inspector (high rise/high hazard specialist) in 1995 after successful completion of the requisite educational requirements and NCPCCI examinations required for each license under N.J.A.C. 5:23-5.16 and 5:23-5.17 of the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code. Later that year he also received both a New Jersey State Plumbing Subcode Official and a New Jersey State Construction Official administrative level license from the New Jersey State Department of Community Affairs pursuant to N.J.A.C. 5:23-5.3 and N.J.A.C 5:23-5.7 of the New Jersey State Uniform Construction Code. In February 2005 Thomas was awarded a Building Inspector RCS level (residential/commercial specialist) technical license and a Mechanical Inspector technical license from the New Jersey State Department of Community Affairs after successfully completing the mandatory educational requirements and NCPCCI examinations mandated for each discipline under N.J.A.C. 5:23-5.10 and 5:23-5.19A of the New Jersey State Uniform Construction Code. Again in March 2005 Thomas was awarded licensure with a Hotels & Multiple Dwellings Inspector technical license and a Housing Code Official administrative license from the New Jersey State Department of Community Affairs . Presently he is pursuing both ICS and HHS level technical licenses in the Building Subcode. On September 30, 2005 Thomas was awarded certification by New England Water Works as a Backflow Prevention Device Specialist #8754 in conjunction with The American Water Works Association protocols as well as certification #10055 from The American Society of Sanitary Engineering as a certified Backflow Prevention Device and Cross Connection Inspector. Additionally, he is also certified by the State of New York Department of Health as a Backflow Prevention Device Tester #6947 in conjunction with the Bureau of Water Supply Protection. More recently, on October 26, 2006 Thomas was awarded accreditation as Continuing Education Instructor #89 by the New Jersey State Board of Examiners of Master Plumbers. He is a factory certified CSST installer, a factory authorized Vanguard PEX installation specialist, a factory trained Rheem and A.O. Smith water heater service technician and a graduate of I-B-R Hydronic Heating Institute. He also holds an A+ certification as a computer technician. Mr. Walsh is also an active member of the Monmouth County Master Plumbers Association, New Jersey State League of Master Plumbers, the New Jersey Plumbing Inspectors Association, the International Association of Plumbing & Mechanical Officials, the International Code Council and the Foundation For Cross-Connection Control and Hydraulic Research at the University of Southern California Viterbi School of Engineering. In 2010, Thomas established the New Jersey Alliance of Master Plumbers, a 501 (c) 6 non-profit corporation to assist in education and public awareness regarding the benefits of backflow prevention and cross connection control. He petitioned the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) and received a charter as only the second IAPMO chapter in New Jersey. As it's inaugural President, he has been working to establish a school. On December 12, 2011 Thomas received correspondence from the New Jersey Department of Evironmental Protection confirming him and New Jersey Alliance of Master Plumbers as an approved agency for certifying and re-certifying Backflow Prevention Assembly Testers. The Alliance becomes one of only 5 approved certifying agencies in New Jersey. On June 24, 2011 Mr. Walsh also became President of the New Jersey State League of Master Plumbers. His administration will be focusing on "New Horizons" as they begin their 80th year as "The largest State League of Master Plumbers in the Nation". He is the appointed Plumbing Subcode Official for the Township of East Brunswick, New Jersey and is currently engaged in study to acquire other technical licensure from the New Jersey State Department of Community Affairs as an HHS level Building Inspector.
